Strip BrushesConstruction & Design Info Weatherstrip Brush Seals
Tanis Weatherstip Brush Seals are more effective than other weatherstrip products such as vinyl, felt and neoprene. The filaments in the brush provide a longer lasting product and weather-tight seal. Most common filaments used in strip brush seals are nylon and polypropylene. Nylon provides a longer-life cycle and durability even in the coldest temperatures. Nylon will stay flexible at 70 (degrees) below F where vinyl and other materials can freeze and become brittle. In addition, nylon has a melting point of 400 (degrees) F. Nylon filament flexibility conforms to the different contours to tightly seal any opening. Polypropylene filament provides an alternative seal and cost efficient option compared to nylon. Weatherstrip brush seals are available in a variety of overall trim heights and lengths, filament sizes and colors upon customer specifications. Aluminum holders are provided in several profile shapes. Easy to mount and install, aluminum holders are available in different lengths. Holders can be extruded in different profile shapes upon customer request. Aluminum holders can be provided without or with mounting holes and slots for faster installation. Most aluminum holders are provided in a mill and clear anodize finish, but can be anodized or painted in several colors of your choice.
